Ouuhh just worked with Deno for the first time. Man … I was hoping it would be exactly like this 😅. From my very minimal POV it’s really everything I wanted from NodeJS in the past years 🙌.

Here’s another shot from the Palmengarten at night. I’d like to point out that I can’t take credit for the picture as my 7 year old took that shot. I cleaned a bit but the whole composition was his idea.

Another visit to one of my favorite places, the Palmengarten in Frankfurt. This time in the evening to see their annual lights festival. #photography #night #lights

Spoiler alert: You know who Seinfeld ends with the group being in jail for all the despicable things they did? When I interact with car drivers in Germany — where a car is almost as valuable as your the first born in other cultures — I sorta get how you just have to become cynical like Jerry and co.

It’s no secret to people who know me that I don’t really care for cars. It’s not the cars fault.. it was a fine invention and all but they just bring out the worst in people. Today on the local supermarket lot an SUV parked on two spots. I was told „otherwise people dent my 150k€ car“. Ok Boomer…

Fluffy “Pampas Grass” (Had to look that up myself, hope that’s actually right 😅) #photography #nature #closeup

Fires in tents are always something.. especially for the city folks like ourselves 😇

Corner ornament in the entry hall of Schloss Freudenberg in Wiesbaden, Germany. My wife and I got married in at this marvelous place which holds a little surprise in our very corner. Every time we go back we still find something new. Absolute gem to discover! #photography

Family and Christmas … ain’t I right? But it’s not only family, it’s just generally people wanting to spend time together or not. And my new working mode for the holiday is: lets just get those peeps together who are at least kinda interested :) lets say on a scale from 0 to 10, at least a 5.

On coming out the other end of the tunnel (as an entrepreneur)

Today marks the last day of work for our little agency Dinghy. For this year of course. We’ll absolutely be around next year! And that sorta leads me over to the main point here: we’re going to be around next year. And that’s something I’m really proud of. We’ve started this journey around 3 years ago, back then my 2 cofounders and myself. This year one of my cofounders decided to go into another direction, which was a hard truth to swallow but also really necessary for all parties involved for a whole bunch of reasons.

You know when you pop open your trusty dev tools to apply a little creativity to other people’s sites? Today I found this applied to a pricing table with the typical 3 plans and I almost shot coffee out my nose from the shock! 😂 I mean .. what?!

#cas #grid #webdev

here’s a couple shots I took at the Kolumba Museum. I mean look at this place .. it’s so cool! Just had my phone with me to take pictures that day 🤦

Heard the other day that journaling makes you a better writer. Makes sense I’d say, so I’ll give that a whirl going forward. And instead of sticking all that into a journaling app on my phone, I’ll just take you along for the ride. Running a family and an agency at the same time could come up :)

This one’s from our local museum for natural history, the so called Senckenberg Museum. I think I’m usually not the type of person who gets exited about fossils, but I kinda love this shot .. when I look at it, I get the feeling of „wow so that’s been burried for millions of years“.. #photography

One of the places I can just always visit again is the Palmengarten in Frankfurt, Germany. Litewrally translated into English that means “Palm Garden”. Inside of this marvelous park there’s a huge indoor jungle called the “Palmenhaus” (Palm House). Such a cozy place to hang out!

Alright! Matilda is done making her little half pipe. It’s white and yellow too!

First ever experience woodbending and I’m very happy I had binged so many wood working channels before to remember that a vegetable steamer can work wonders :)

#woodworking

Ah by the way don’t try to glue up a wood bending project with tape alone .. doesn’t hold up :))

Just start (building a little half pipe)

Our house was chosen by a Christmas gnome and she’s building a half pipe 🫠. This is one of those ideas where I got super excited and tell me things like: „how hard can it be? It’s tiny! That’ll be quick“. Of course it’s not quick! But I think this is my strategy to just lie to myself to just get going with things.. I’ll post a new pic every day because Matilda the gnome promised this for the weekend cough
